Feature: Downtime Rules Update
Release Date: August 2024
You can now set up downtime rules based on a minimum downtime length!
Why is this useful?
Have you ever wished you could auto-label your downtime if something hasn’t been running all day? For machines not scheduled to run for an entire shift or an extended period, operators and supervisors may prefer to not manually label that time as unscheduled. Now, with a defined minimum downtime length, Amper will automatically identify downtime periods meeting or exceeding this length and apply the desired downtime label.
How do you do it?
To create a downtime rule with a minimum length, follow these steps:
- Create a downtime rule as usual.
- Look for the new "minimum downtime length" field.
- Set your desired minimum downtime length.
You can apply this rule to every day of the week, eliminating any schedule requirements. This allows you to base the rule solely on downtime length.
This approach may not be suitable for every factory. Ensure it aligns with your specific needs before implementing this rule.
