Introducing the Changeover Tracking Feature
We're excited to announce the new Changeover Tracking Feature in our app! This feature is designed to help you reduce the time it takes to transition from one job to the next. It allows you to see what jobs are going to be wrapping up soonest, which upcoming job you need to prepare for, and exactly what tasks have to be completed before you’re ready to start the job.
Components of the Changeover Tracking Feature
This feature is made up of three core components: the changeover scoreboard, the prep checklist, and the prep sign-off.
⚙️ Prep Checklist: 1st Step!
This is the settings page to set up your Prep Checklist.
Here, you can define the prep steps that need to take place before each body of work. These steps are customizable by factory and will be shown for every job.
The page will initially be empty, with an option to Add New Step
.
- Click
Add New Step
to begin defining the prep list. - Enter the Step Name (this will be shown on the scoreboard), and optionally add a description.
- Click the ✔️ on the right side, in line with the step you’re adding to save the step.
- Click the X or
Cancel
to cancel. - Edit an existing step by clicking the pencil icon, or delete it by clicking the trash can icon.
- Continue to click
Add New Step
to add more prep steps.
💻 Goals Page: 2nd Step!
View Goal Status
Each goal will show a status. This could be In Progress
, Ready
or Not Ready (X)
- In Progress means that the goal is currently active on a machine.
- Ready means that the goal is not yet active, but all prep is complete.
- Not Ready (X) means that the goal prep is not complete, and there are X number of tasks remaining. This number will change depending on how many prep steps are defined, and how many have been completed.
Complete Prep Signoff
Prep signoff is completed within each goal row in the Goals page.
Click the down arrow next to the goal status to view the prep steps.
When you have completed your prep task, check the box next to the relevant task, select your name from the drop down, and hit Save
.
You’ll see the status update based on the remaining prep tasks needed. Here, it changed from Not Ready (3) to Not Ready (2).
Filter by Incomplete Prep
Use the Incomplete Prep
filter to see which goals still require a specific prep task.
Click the drop down, and you should see all prep steps that were previously defined in the Prep Checklist.
Chose the prep step you’d like to filter for, and the goal page will return all goals that still require action for the selected prep task.
If you apply filters to the goals page and then load the scoreboard, the scoreboard data will also have those filters applied.
🥅 Changeover Scoreboard
The scoreboard gives you a snapshot of what jobs are currently in progress, what’s scheduled next, and the prep tasks required for a job to be ready to start. It displays information such as the state of the machine, details of the active job, and the prep status for the next job.
Simply click “Load Changeover Scoreboard” to see the scoreboard in action!
The Machine
column shows the name of each machine. The color signifies the state of the machine (green = production, yellow = idle, red = downtime, gray = disconnected)
The In Progress
column shows the details of the active goal, such as goal name, job number, and part number. It will also show the Estimated Time Remaining or whether the goal target has been met. If this column displays —
this means that there is no active goal on that machine.
The Next Up
column shows the details of the goal that’s scheduled next. The order of the goal listed in the next up column is determined by 1. priority and 2. due date.
The Prep
column shows all items in the Prep Checklist, and whether they were completed or not, to determine the goal readiness status. When a prep task is shown in red, it means that prep task is incomplete. Once that prep task is marked complete, it will be shown in black on the scoreboard.
The scoreboard will automatically rotate the machines displayed every 10 seconds.
You can load this scoreboard directly from the Goals
page by clicking on Load Changeover Scoreboard
.
We hope you find this new feature useful in improving your changeover times and enhancing your overall productivity.
