In the Amper system, operators have always been able to log quantities for both good and scrap parts made during a job. Have you ever wondered though what those parts were labeled as scrap for? Now you can know by utilizing Scrap Reasons!
1. Settings
Where is it?
Click on your name at the top right corner ➡️ Settings ➡️ Scrap Reasons
You may add scrap reasons manually using the “Add Reason” button, or you may email your CSE an excel file with the scrap reasons to upload.
2. Data Entry
While using a Tally Sheet to track job information, you can now have the ability to tie Scrap Reasons to scrap quantities logged.
On the Tally Sheet, when scrap needs to be logged, press “Add Scrap”.
When “Add Scrap” is pressed, the following pop-up menu will be displayed. From here, an operator is able to enter in the quantity of scrap to be logged as well as the option to tie that scrap to a particular reason. These reasons are input into the system via the Settings page in the web app.
The operator is NOT required to log a reason when inputting a scrap quantity.
3. Reporting
Where is Reporting on Scrap Reasons Located?
You can find this report under Dashboards ➡️ Scrap Parts.
Scrap Reasons provide the ability to:
- Track scrap quantities by reason
