Tally Sheets
A Tallysheet is a digital tool used in the Operator Interface. Tallysheets help operators collect data about what they did during their shift. For example:
- What machine was running?
- What part was the machine making?
- How many good parts were made?
- How many scrap parts were made?
- Which operator was running the machine?
Without Amper, this kind of information is typically collected manually on paper. With Amper, you can use our Tallysheets tool to collect this data digitally.
🔎 See an example below:
Start in the Tally Sheet Lobby
You can choose to continue with details below from a previous sheet, start new, or start a setup.
We’re going to Start New.
Next you’ll choose what time frame you want to start from. The last tally sheet ended at 9:33 am. I can either start at that point or start now at 5:14 pm. We’ll start at 9:33 am as we can see we’ve been running production since then.
We’re now taken to this view of the actual Tally Sheet.
As an operator, we will fill out the “Operator”, “Part”, “Target Cycle Time” and “Notes” Fields. These fields are custom more can be added in the Paperless Settings. Instructions are found here
We added context into our fields and updated our part counts. Today we ran 100 good parts and 5 scrap parts in this job. When we’re done, we click “End Run”. A confirmation page comes up to “Submit Sheet?” and we click “Confirm”
We’re now taken back to the Lobby!
If we were keeping our same part number and running a different job, we would click “Continue With Below Details”.
If we were starting a new part and no setup was required, we would click “Start New”.
If we needed to set up a new job to run, we would click “Start Setup”.
We are setting up a new job, so we click “Start Setup” and we’re brought to a screen to select our Setup Flow. We’re doing a Generic Setup.
We must fill in the Setup Information and click “Save”.
We’re then brought to our custom setup screen with setup steps to walk through.
When we’ve reached the last step, the “Next” button will say “Finish”.
We are then brought back to the Tally Sheet Lobby to start running our job. We tell Amper to “Continue with Below Details” from our Setup so we don’t have to fill out all of the fields again.
We ask asked to tell Amper when we started running. We choose the end of the setup time at 5:25 pm.
And now we can begin our next job!
